About the Artist

My early life as an artist began as a teenager studying painting with a local art instructor in Franklin, NH.
Following brief instructions in high school, I as encouraged to pursue art school.
I was accepted, studied, and completed requirements for a B.F.A. in painting in 1976.
I then had the good fortune of participating in a travel study program as a student to the south of France in 1974.
Subsequently I pursued a free lance career which included commissions, exhibitions, teaching and lecturing.
In 1991 I returned to southern France to live, study and work as an artist for an entire year.
My work to date includes: landscaped, botanical renderings, figure drawings, graphic design and illustration all hoping to express through analysis the representation of character, essential structure, and beauty in a  traditional sense.
My goal for future work is to explore the significance of humanity and it's poetic truth through portraiture, figures in a composition, and figurative sculpture.
I am hoping you enjoy my artwork.
